International IT Talent Education Summit Forum 2008 held in Dalian

    • The sixth International IT Talent Education Summit Forum was held in Dalian World Expo Center from June 21st to 22nd, 2008. It is sponsered by China International Software ＆ Information Service Fair Committee, along with Dalian University of Technology (DUT), Office of National Pilot Software Engineering Schools and Dalian Bureau of the Information Industry. Hundreds of University leaders gathered in Dalian for the first time to discuss the “Global IT Training Pilot”, which is the theme of the forum. And the purpose is to figure out how to train global, practical, medium and high-end software talents and how to develop international IT Talent Education.





             Several leaders had delivered speeches on the forum including: Deputy mayor of Dalian Zhu Chengqing, Department Chief of Commerce Department Personnel Wang Zhiping, Chief of Office of National Pilot Software Engineering Schools Wu Aihua and DUT President Ou Jinping.




       







      



      In the shower of applauses, President Ou Jinping and Nigel Burton, General Manager of GCR(Greater China Region) DPE(Developer Platform Evangelism), Microsoft Corp inaugurated the DUT-Microsoft Innovation Center. Besides, the Software Training Base in DUT also includes another two bases: DUT-IBM Training Base and DUT-RENESAS embeded Training Base. In every session, 250 students are admitted to join in the training.     

          



               It is reported that the forum is one of the six plates of the China International Software ＆ Information Service Fair, whose theme is to lead and boost the development of the software and sevice outsourcing in China and promote the international coorperation and exchange in IT field.
