2008 DUT Graduation Ceremony was held at the Liu Changchun gymnasium on 27th, June. The participants present included DUT leaders Zhang Dexiang, Ou Jinping, Kong Xianjing, Shao Longtan, Xue Guang, Guo Dongming, Zou Jiyan, Lu Zhongchang, Li Zhiyi, Ning Guiling, President assistant Li Junjie, leaders from schools and departments, persons in charge of student work, graduates of 2008, postgraduate representatives and student representatives from schools and departments. The ceremony was held by secretary of DUT administrative office Li Cheng’en.
With the background music “good luck”, President Ou Jinping, dressed in adviser’s gown, conferred degree for the graduate representatives. After flipping the tassels on the cap to the left, he shook hands tightly with the graduates which would be an unforgettable moment in the deep side of their memories.
Then President Ou gave a passionate send-off speech to encourage the graduates to be the elite of our age.
Vice President Lu Zhongchang announced the advanced units and excellent individuals and DUT leaders presented the awards for the winners.
Teacher representative professor Qiu Jieshan, graduate representative Ph.D Sun Guilei, student representative Sun Wuhan, parent representative Ms Yu Ying made speeches respectively. 
After the ceremony, a marvellous performance was presented for the graduates.
