On Sept. 26th, the 2008 freshmen’s Military Training Reports Meeting was held ceremoniously in the playground. Vice President of Dalian Naval Academy (DNA) Li Hanjun, DUT Party Secretary Zhang Dexiang, and some other leaders and guests attended the meeting.
Accompanied by loud and clear school song, and followed by the national flag guard group, three flag-bearers, bold and brave, welcomed the school flag. With neat soldier’s bearings and firm and steady steps, they led the 23 phalanxes formed by 2008 freshmen to welcome inspections from distinguished guests and leaders.
Senior Colonel Li Hanjun spoke highly of students’ MT results. He said that the Military Training was as significant and unforgettable as the success of Beijing Olympics and Shenzhou
Vice-president Xue Guang extended her thanks to all the directors, personnel from different departments and the 80 officials and soldiers from Dalian Naval Academy who undertook this MT assignment, for their strict management and skillful teaching, which helped the 4700 freshmen successfully finished their first class in university---Military Training. She also wished that students would carry on the precious spirit of collectivism, the strict and impartial discipline concept, strong will and toughness in the next four years’ university life, and manage to train themselves into outstanding talents excelling in moral as academic performances and make contributions to the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation. 
Zhang Dexiang and Li Hanjun exchanged gifts in order to express the profound friendship between DUT and DNA. Then the advanced groups, individuals, drillmasters and phalanxes were awarded. And drillmaster representative Dong Bin and student representative Huang Xiaoyong addressed in the meeting.
